Today, modern dentistry has a wide range of methods and means to achieve excellent results in various dental defects. The main methods are restoration with photopolymer materials or replacement of defects with prosthetic structures. Aesthetic dentistry is, above all, the artistic restoration of teeth, after which you get a beautiful smile without the use of prosthetics. It is one of the most complex and creative parts of dentistry.
There are three related concepts in cosmetic dentistry: dental restoration, reconstruction and transformation. The restoration of teeth with photopolymer composite materials is based on the reproduction of the natural shape of the dentition as well as the properties of the teeth: transparency, shine and structure. Each case of artistic dental restoration is individual. The wide colour palette of modern materials allows the colour of the renewed tooth to be matched as naturally as possible, resulting in an exact imitation of strong natural enamel. Aesthetic restoration is indicated in the following cases:
- alignment of teeth, reshaping of teeth
- removal of chipped or reversed teeth
- removal of tarnished old fillings
- Elimination of too large or narrow spaces between teeth
